Would this turntable work?

Hi,

These are primarily product display stands and they manufacture them in various models, for example:

The one in your link is a constant speed platform I think (i.e it doesn't stop until it's completely turned off, although some folks tried to modify them to pause to take incremental shots) and this is generally not good as you will loose some image crispness due to constant moving of an object, and then in general it's not very workable when shooting many products in a consistent manner. Also some products with parts that are not tightly fixed or hanging (jewellery, for example) may suffer as such parts can slightly bounce back and force while the table is spinning..

Some photographers though would still shoot a 360 degree product video using these platforms and then export standalone images via video processing software (here's one such free tool - link). These standalone images can be then imported into webrotate's software to publish a finalized interactive 360 product view.

I hope it helps!

[Update] here's a free tool for extracting images from videos on Mac: http://www.chitpit.com

We can only recommend the Ortery turntables here as we have been using them ourselves for years.. but they are pretty expensive.
